Yapping into the void

So, this is the first post. Every blog needs one, and every first post is a little awkward, so let's just get it over with.

What's with the name?

voidyapp.ing has a double meaning. On one hand, it's a nod to vibe coding, which is how I build a lot of things these days: telling an AI agent what I want, poking at whatever comes out, and iterating until it works (or until I give up and go to bed).

On the other hand, it's literally what this is: yapping into the void. Writing stuff down without knowing whether anyone will ever read it. And I'm totally fine with that.

What you'll find here

Pretty much whatever I'm tinkering with at the moment:

  • AI agents & vibe coding: experiments, wins, and the occasional spectacular failure
  • Homelab & self-hosting: the stuff humming away in my rack and the rabbit holes that come with it
  • Product management: thoughts from the day job, minus the slide decks
  • Maker stuff: electronics, 3D printing, things with wires sticking out
  • Guitar: because not everything has to involve a keyboard

Why bother?

Three reasons, really:

  1. Notes for future me. I've solved the same problem twice way too often. Writing it down is cheaper than googling it again.
  2. Thinking by writing. Most of my ideas only make sense once I try to explain them. This is where I try.
  3. Maybe it helps someone. If you landed here because you hit the same wall I did: welcome, I hope this saves you an evening.

What not to expect

No schedule. I'll post when there's something worth posting. And not everything will be polished: some posts will be rough, half-finished, or just plain wrong. That's part of the deal. If you spot a mistake, tell me. I'd rather learn than look smart.

That's it. Let's see where this goes.

Hello, void.
